"Christine was very welcoming and helpful. She recommended a lovely local country pub within walking distance for dinner. Our bedroom was large, bright and spacious. It was beautifully furnished with french doors opening out onto a big open garden space with views across fields. We had our own comfortable garden chairs and a table with a bowl of fresh roses just for us! The bedroom and the garden felt very private from the rest of the house. The bathroom was also very large and quite luxurious. There were lots of thoughtful extras. The house is situated in a very peaceful, scenic and picturesque part of Essex. We very much enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it."

"I stayed in Christine’s apartment as I was on a 2 day course nearby. The location was perfect to the course which was in Meesden. But I didn’t pay much attention to location in reference to anything else. The apartment was absolutely spotless, and Christine was the most incredible hostess. The check in (and out) was painless and parking is easy, on the premises inside the gate. Christine not only offered to fetch me from the pub after my dinner (only a 10 minute walk away) but she cooked a delicious breakfast to set me up for a great day. The bed was comfortable and there was fast internet. There’s also a kitchen if you choose to cook something for yourself (though there are enough pubs nearby) If I could give Christine more than 5 stars, i would."

"I was reluctant to give Christine a great review as I want to keep her place a secret for myself! Was staying in the area for work. Most importantly for me it was lovely and quiet so I got two wonderful nights sleep. A lovely loft too."

"Last minute booking at 10am Wed 17th in Doncaster.  Beautiful drive to get here through the countryside.  When arriving was greeted joyfully by our host Christine who led us up to a loft on top of a double car garage.  Excellent room with everything we desired.  Went down to the pub (Brewery Tap) and met some lovely local gentlemen who greeted us with zest.  A great meal (steak) was had and after that we retired for the night in a very comfortable bed.  It was a good stay and we will recommend this area when we go back home (Australia).  Thank you Christine."

"We had a very late arrival, after several calls, because we started too late in Cambridge.  Nevertheless we got a very warm welcome after an adventurous ride through the dark.  We found a beautiful spacious room and bathroom and such a comfortable bed.  What a shame that this night was our last before returning home to Germany!  This B&B is highly recommended, than you for our (short) and nice stay!"

"What a lovely way to enjoy England on our first visit here!  We chose to see the English countryside rather than London and are so glad we did.  Christine provides such a lovely accommodation - modern, bright, airy and stocked with everything needed.  We were so, so comfortable and well taken care of!  And, of course, the pubs down the way certainly were a plus - and Christine's willingness to chauffeur us there and back.  Thank you Christine for a memorable visit to England - we do hope we can return!  Charming experience."

There is hardly anything we can think of which would have made our stay more comfortable, other than perhaps two very small things - a box of tissues would have been appreciated and perhaps a light source on the dressing table for hair and make up.  We will certainly return and would like to thank you for your exceptional hospitality."

"After a last minute late arrival, after a cancelled flight, we could not have been made to feel more welcome.  The accommodation is beautiful with far reaching views, warm and cosy, situated in a quiet location.  Very comfortable bed, slept like a log.  A delicious cooked breakfast delivered to our door.  We feel very lucky to have stumbled over this gem of a place.  Cannot think of any improvements! "
